Today, I'm teaming up with a cool new app called Good&Co. If you haven't heard of it, prepare to be seriously obsessed.
Goo&Co, available for iPhone and Android, promotes themselves as a self-discovery network for young professionals. It's great for every major career and life question, whether you're looking to find meaning in your career path or you're looking to make a bigger impact on your company's culture.
When I graduated and moved to New York, I always knew that I wanted to work in the fashion / editorial space -- but I hadn't truly considered digital marketing as a potential area of interest. Working as an intern within my current department definitely helped me figure out what I wanted to do in life, so I highly recommend taking some time to try a few things out before you make any commitments!
Through my first Good&Co quiz, I was able to confirm some aspects of myself that I sometimes believe in, but sometimes struggle with (cough, cough, creativity). The "Strengths Card" quiz was fun and easy to take, and you just might discover something about yourself that you didn't know before!
Just for fun, I took a separate quiz to determine my compatibility with my current company, StyleHaul. I truly love where I work and what I do, so I was happy to see we are such a good match!
In addition to what I've mentioned above, the Good&Co app can also help you find workplace happiness, find a career and workplace you love, learn how to succeed in your career, and learn how to become a successful leader and improve your company's culture. What's not to love?!
No matter where you are in life, it's always a good idea to keep a fresh outlook on where you're headed. The most important thing is that you're spending your life doing what you love!
As a good rule of thumb, I never leave home without a cute bag, and some seriously insightful and motivational transit reading material.

If there's one thing I know about myself, it's that I'm really good at faking it until I make it. I've always lived with a "get shit done" mantra, even when the odds seem to be stacked against me -- and sometimes, that's when I've found the most success.
Throughout my life, but especially during the past year (how?!) that I've lived in New York, I've realized that life is just an imperfect equation of being in the right place at the right time... and having the know-how to make the best of that "right place, right time" when it happens. From taking the risk to move to NYC for an (originally) unpaid internship, to working my butt off for a full-time role -- there was definitely a lot of faking it 'till I made it that got me to where I am today.
Just like Queen of the South's bad ass main character, Teresa Mendoza, I've learned over time that great power and potential come with a great deal of responsibilities. Watching Teresa's transformation during season 1 has seriously been so inspiring (talk about a productive Memorial Day Weekend!), and I can't wait to see where her ambitions take her in season 2 (premiering on USA Network June 8th!).
There have been a lot of recent changes at work lately, and though change is always difficult, I'm excited to take on the new opportunities that come in the wake of those changes. I'll definitely be channeling my inner Teresa as the summer progresses!
The biggest takeaway I can give you for now is to never let yourself hold yourself back. It sounds trivial, but you can be your own worst enemy! Find a healthy work-life balance for sure, but don't ever let your fear of failing prevent you from achieving greatness. When it comes to new experiences and goals, "yes!" truly can be more.
If you haven't caught up on season 1 yet, a Netflix binge-watching session is definitely in order -- and if you can't wait for season 2, click here for some exclusive previews!
What are you the#QueenOf? Let me know in the comments below, and be sure to catch the season premiere of Queen of the South on June 8th at 10/9c on USA Network!
"Life is a journey, not a destination" -- Ralph Waldo Emerson
In honor of National Chardonnay Day and graduation season, I've partnered with Wente Wines to raise a glass to all of the people that helped get me to where I am today. Cheers to you -- you know who you are!
It's crazy to think that it's been almost a year since I graduated college. A year! Those four years were the adventure of a lifetime, and the spark to a journey that is only just beginning. Looking back on all of the ups and downs makes me more grateful for all of my life wins, and more appreciative of the opportunities that come my way even when I feel at a loss.
As most of you know, immediately after college I moved to New York City to pursue my dreams within the fashion marketing and editorial space. Even after having "made it" in the big city, I still look back fondly on the journey that took me here. From my boyfriend who helped me move out here (mentally and physically), to my twin sister (who I still call every day) who helps me feel grounded, I'm so grateful for the support system I have that never stops giving.
And the list goes on: from my coaches and professors to my best friends and teammates, I couldn't have done any of it without you either. Each of you played a vital role in helping shape the person I am today, and no matter how big or small of an impact you think you made on me, know that I wouldn't be the same without any of you.
Now, I aim to inspire others in the same way that others have inspired my. So here's a Wente Vinyards toast for remembering the past, while celebrating the present and looking forward to the future.
Just for fun -- here's a throwback photo of me from my college graduation! Class of 2016 for the win, and as always #GoBeavs ;).
Who are you raising a glass to in your life? Head to Wente Vineyards for some delicious yet affordable Chardonnay, and get toasting!
